Welcome and thank you for visiting our blog. The British Heart Foundation Jersey Branch was established in 1972 to support the life saving research of the BHF. We have created this page to help Islanders keep up to date with local events, activities and ways in which you can support our local fight against heart disease.
On April 22nd 2018, Islander Chris Dolbel will be taking on the 26 mile challenge and taking part in the Virgin Money London Marathon to raise funds for the BHF Jersey Branch.
Plans for Chris are already well underway, with his training already in full flow "this will be a massive personal challenge for me as I have never been a very committed runner, however I know I can and will complete this Marathon. My main focus will be on the time it will take me to complete and I will be taking my training very seriously. I will also be making sure I am eating all the necessary foods in order to be at a weight for good running performance prior to the marathon."
As part of Chris' plan to raise his fundraising target, Chris will be organising events and activities, including offering one-to-one training.
"Your support for this marathon would be very much appreciated by both myself and The British Heart Foundation Jersey, and I’m sure the higher the fundraising target we manage to hit the shorter the time it will take me to complete."
Please support Chris and his amazing hard work, fundraising for the BHF. Every penny we raise makes a huge difference in our fight against heart disease, saving thousands of Islanders every year!
