Jersey Cardiac Nurse In Regional Shortlist for Heart Health Professional Award

Local Cardiac team member and winner of this year's Jersey Heart Award 'Heart Supporter Award', Lee-Anne Penn has made the regional shortlist for the national British Heart Foundation Heart Health Professional Awards!
The Heart Health Professional Award is designed to recognise individuals who has shown drive and commitment to improve the lives of heart patients and/or their families. This could be BHF-funded scientists, cardiologists, cardiac rehabilitation instructors, pharmacists, GP's and nurses.
As one of Jersey's Special Cardiac Nurses, Lee Anne is well-known in her local community for her forward-thinking approach, friendly demeanour and going above and beyond for her patients.
Determined that her patients should have the best possible care, she put forward a proposal to make available a specialist heart rehab treatment, to help patients with their recovery. Lee-Anne also supports and volunteers at BHF events and works with the local cardiac team to fundraise for her BHF branch, to make sure everyone has a fighting chance against heart disease.

The final three people in each category of Inspiration, Young Heart Hero, Heart Health Professional and Fighting Spirit, across all Supporter Day locations, will be announced online on 21 April 2017, to see if your nomination has been shortlisted visit bhf.org.uk/heartheroes.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend their local BHF Supporter Day where the Heart Hero Awards will take place at 3pm.
