Welcome and thank you for visiting our blog. The British Heart Foundation Jersey Branch was established in 1972 to support the life saving research of the BHF. We have created this page to help Islanders keep up to date with local events, activities and ways in which you can support our local fight against heart disease.
The BHF Jersey Volunteers were out and about at Jersey's biggest music festival - Jersey Live 2016 this weekend, complete with our awesome Dodgeball Target Practice (kindly supported by Rossborough Healthcare and Gallery Magazine) and our mascot Hearty!!
This year's line-up included Grammy- nominated house music giants Disclosure, “Nutty Boys” Madness, former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft and chart-topping drum & bass duo Sigma. The weekend was packed with activities for festival goers to enjoy, including popular fairground rides and the haunting 'Secrets Beneath' which got hearts pumping with fear as guests tentatively made their way through a jaw-dropping terror maze promising hidden scares and screams.
This is a fantastic local event and it was great to see so many visitors from the UK and other British Isles making their way over to Jersey especially for it. Our Dodgeball activity went down a storm, so thank you to all who came along and tried their hand at becoming a champion... keep an eye out for our Adult or Secondary School Dodgeball Tournaments!
We'd like to say a HUGE thank you to the organisers of Jersey Live for inviting the BHF Jersey Branch along to the 2016 event. A lot of fun was had by our volunteers and all who came and took part in our ultimate dodgeball challenge!
